PRSA Silicon Valley Names Its 2024 Board of Directors

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 9, 2024 – PRSA Silicon Valley today announced the elected and appointed members of its 2024 Board of Directors. The not-for-profit, all-volunteer chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) focuses primarily on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), mentorship, networking, and professional development programming.

Mark Lewis and Mike Sanchez are new to the board in 2024. Meghan Fintland, in her second year as PRSA SV President, comments, "The highlight of 2023 was our Media Predicts event where we celebrated the public relations and media industries. Key members of our chapter at various stages of their careers were given awards, recognizing their dedication and contributions.

Beyonce's publicist Yvette-Noel Schure, was honored with the ‘Unity Award,’ a testament to her outstanding work in communications and overall DE&I efforts to bring equality to all facets of life, from education to entertainment. Schure's speech was inspiring, entertaining, and humbling."

Fintland also mentioned launching a fully redesigned, refreshed website and the thought-provoking comments from a panel of top-tier journalists at Media Predicts.

This year’s events will or have included fundraising for the chapter’s Diversity and Multicultural Scholarship now in its fourth year, an in-the-works enterprise tech media panel, a San Jose State University alumni media panel, a variety of networking sessions, newsletters, and the chapter’s legendary Media Predicts panel in December, now in its 17th year.
